Star Track™ Division I Game Board – Board Only (No Pieces Included)
Star Track is an exciting Math Pentathlon® strategy game that challenges students to think ahead, recognize patterns, and make thoughtful decisions as they navigate the game board. Every move requires planning, logical reasoning, and careful analysis, helping players develop the problem-solving skills essential for success in mathematics.
Number sense, inequality, addition, and decision-making are experienced in this game, which uses connected chain links. Students take turns selecting two chain links of different lengths from a bucket and deciding which is the better choice. While the chain length determines how many spaces they move on the Star Track gameboard, numeral and pentagram landings, as well as bump rules, help students consider that bigger is not always the better choice. UNDERLYING MATHEMATICS/SCIENCE computational reasoning involving one-to-one correspondence, counting, number sense, addition, equality, inequality; logical/scientific reasoning involving observation skills, combinatorics, hypothesizing and experimentation, deductive and inductive reasoning; spatial/geometric reasoning involving directionality; and active problem solving
Perfect for classrooms, enrichment programs, homeschool families, and Math Pentathlon tournaments, Star Track transforms mathematical thinking into an enjoyable challenge that keeps students engaged while building confidence and critical reasoning skills.
