Kings & Quadraphages™ Division I Game Board – Board Only (No Pieces Included)
This official Calla™ game board is designed for Division I Math Pentathlon®.   Calla™ builds number sense, deductive thinking, directionality, and one-to-one correspondence through a unique variation of ancient African and Asian counting games.

Kings & Quadraphages is an exciting Math Pentathlon® strategy game that challenges students to think ahead, analyze multiple possibilities, and make strategic decisions. Through engaging game play, students strengthen logical reasoning, critical thinking, and mathematical problem-solving while learning to anticipate their opponent's moves.

Every game encourages players to recognize patterns, develop effective strategies, and adapt their plans as the game unfolds. Success depends on careful planning, sound reasoning, and thoughtful decision-making rather than chance, making Kings & Quadraphages an enjoyable way to build higher-level thinking skills.

Ideal for classrooms, enrichment programs, homeschool families, and Math Pentathlon tournaments, this game promotes collaboration, perseverance, and confidence while reinforcing important mathematical concepts through active, hands-on learning.

This game board of Kings & Quadraphages™ does not include the game pieces. Horizontal, vertical, and diagonal movement, which is the basis of many mathematical and scientific concepts, is practiced in this simple yet challenging entrapment game. In addition, students engage in dynamic use of counting skills while exploring deductive reasoning and the topology of open and closed regions. Students take turns placing a chip (referred to as a square-eating Quadraphage) on a grid-type gameboard and moving their pawn (the King) to entrap the opposing King.
